Our three night break at The Mariners was just what we needed. The location is perfect meaning we had panoramic views from both our bedroom and dining room, and it was ideal for pre breakfast and post dinner walks along the promenade. Our room was spacious, well equipped, had copious storage space, the bed linen and towels were luxurious and the bed was comfortable. All the food was well cooked, good quality and the portions generous. How Lisa turns out the poached eggs so consistently perfect is a mystery, they were the best I have ever tasted! It is lovely that Dean and Lisa have found their perfect niche, they make their guests feel like valued friends, for whom nothing is too much trouble and chatting in the bar on an evening was a real joy. We have stayed many times with Lisa and Dean, what a lovely, friendly couple they are. The Mariners is a great place to stay.Rooms are always clean and tidy. The view from room 4 is excellent. The food is great, Lisa'sscrambled egg is just lush. The hotel is in a prime position being a leisurely 5 min stroll down the promanade or a quick cut through into town. Highly recommended, can't wait to come back.- Gary O
If I could give 6 stars for this place I would. Dean and Lisa made us feel very welcome and they couldn’t do enough for us. The view from our room was spectacular. Spectacular is also the work to describe the breakfast each morning. We had a wonderful stay and it won’t be the last. - Eric C
